Lisa Delaplace
(She/Her)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Supervisor in TX and WA
AASECT Certified Sex Therapist and
EMDR Certified Clinician and Consultant in Training
I’m Lisa Delaplace, LICSW, LCSW, CST and I help individuals and couples create relationships filled with trust, passion, and intimacy and a create more satisfying sexual experiences.
Traditional couples therapy often focuses on increased communication, but ignores the complexity of desire, intimacy and eroticism in relationships. When better communication skills fail to help couples have better sex lives, they end up feeling hopeless and broken.
I help my clients find healing, connection and increased intimacy in their relationships by equipping them with the tools they need to build trust, reduce conflict in their relationships and address the complex issues affecting their sex lives. I know that your circumstances are unique, so we will work to get to the heart of what you really want for yourself and what is getting in the way.
First, we examine the personal and relational dynamics that you’d like to address in therapy. Then, we dig into your history and current experiences to find your strengths so we can build on what’s already working well and find tools that will be most effective for you. Through our work together, you’ll have the tools to create the relationship and sexual experiences you desire for yourself.
I am dedicated to helping individuals and couples create the passionate, satisfying and secure relationships they desire.
My lived experiences as a partner and parent and my extensive training in couples and sex therapy means I have the expertise you need and deserve to help you heal your relationship. At the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who understands the complexities of your unique situation and has the tools to help you to heal and grow.
To best serve you, I dedicate a significant amount of time, money and energy learning new techniques and consulting with more experienced clinicians. I know that reaching out to a therapist is for most, very overwhelming and a huge exercise in trust and vulnerability. So when we work together, you won’t just get a highly trained and experienced therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through.
